CHANDIGARH: Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has courted controversy by making atrocious comments on the Kashmiri girls that is below the dignity of a man occupying high post of Chief Minister of a state. Prior to him a BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh had made similar comments and received a flak from people across the nation.

Khattar told his party workers in Panipat that earlier people from Haryana used to bring brides from Bihar, now we will bring girls from Kashmir. Earlier Muzzafarnagar MLA of BJP Vikram Saini had said that BJP workers were excitesd to get 'Gori' girls from Kashmir.

Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has issued a strict warning to BJP leaders against lowering the dignity of Kashmiri girls. In a statement issued from Anritsar, he said that Sikhs would stand guiard to Kashmiri girls and would not allow miscreants to hurt the women in the valley. He said that Sikhs had history of saving Hindu women from Muslim invaders and this time they will protect the dignity of Kashmir girls from those who are passing misogynistic statments. Calling suck people sick, Jathedar said that they were defaming India in the world. He said that these elements would be punished sternly.

AICC president Rahul Gandhi has strongly criticised Khattar saying that his comments are sespicable and shows what years of RSS training does to the mind of a weak, insecure and pethatic man.

After Narender Modi government scrapped article 370 and 35A, and claimed that this step would integrate the Kashmir with rest of India, the BJP leaders started exploiting the opportunity to bring Kashmiri girls for marrying them.

The critics of Khattar are calling him mentally sick and demanding to remove him from the constitutional post. It is more shamful for Khattar who consider himself to be champion of 'Beti Bachao-Beto Padhao' campaign.
