While, this is Ranbir Kapoor's first film to get into the 100 cr. club, for Priyanka Chopra, this is double whammy this year - with Agneepath sitting pretty with a 132 cr. business. Earlier, BARFI surprised us all with the official entry for Oscars !

i dont think it should be a surprise if excellent movie like Barfi makes 100 crores. It shows Indian audience is matured now and can take non masala flicks. item numbers are not needed to make 100 crores. this is a good sign. may be good sense will previl and we will see some more good movies next year. All good directors have said that Barfi deserves oscars and indian audience is also loving it from day1. so where is the surprise!!
