AISSF condemns clash at Rakabganj gurdwara

Monday, November, 19 2012 - 18:07

CHANDIGARH: All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) has strongly condemned the clash between activists of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Delhi Akali Dal at Rakabganj gurdwara on November 15 in which eleven people were injured.

Stating this here today, AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammed said that swords, Kirpans and stones were freely used in the clash. It is unfortunate that clash took place there which brought disrespect to turbans.

The AISSF leader said that there should be no politics in the managements of gurdwara affairs where people of all religions arrived for obeisance. He appealed to the Akal Takht Jathedar for his immediate and personal intervention and summoning of the guilty persons at Akal Takht and their punishment by holding an enquiry by the Akal Takht so that in future such incidents of clash could be stopped.

AISSF President gave green signal to Ajay Devgn's Movie Son of Sardar and praised Ajay Devgn and Ashwin Dhir for obliging the commitments he made to AISSF in front of Media.
