BATHINDA: Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal made a surprise visit to the Adventure Sports Carnival at the Lake View Park in Bathinda and said that Bathinda has become Mumbai. The carnival will be held till December 9.

He was accompanied by the deputy commissioner Kamal Kishore Yadav and SSP Harcharan Singh Brar, along with others. He looked around at the various activities taking place at the carnival and applauded the efforts being put in by those who are a part of the event. Program coordinator Pawan Kumar Garg was surprised to know that Badal was at the carnival and he appreciated Garg’s work. Alpha Adventure Academy Pune is assisting the carnival. It was stated that there will be many games here that happen in Mumbai, Goa and Kerala beaches.

The carnival is attracting people not only from Punjab, but from neighbouring states like Haryana and Rajasthan also. A lot of enthusiasm can be seen among people in Bathinda as they have not seen anything like this before in the city. Students have been given a special discount to visit the carnival.

Garg informed that there will be many thrilling events on November 9, when the carnival will come to an end. Some of them are hot air balloon, para sailing, jorping, commando net, river crossing, Burma bridge, archery, water jorbing, banana boat ride, basic water and more for everyone to take a look at. These games happen at Mumbai, Goa and Kerala at present. It is being expected that for the carnival, about 30,000 people are expected to come to Bathinda as nothing like this has ever happened in the city.
