The beauty queen Priyanka Chopra would be seen again in another yesteryears remake film. Multi-talented filmmaker, Farhan Akhtar has signed Piggy Chops for his next film, which would be a remake of the blockbuster film ‘Zanjeer’.
Post ‘Don’, ‘Agneepath’, now ‘Zanjeer’ this is Piggy Chops third remake film of yesteryears in which she would be playing the leading lady.
But, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar keeping the monotony of Piggy Chops films in mind warned her for the choice of films saying she could be type caste.
Piggy Chops had earlier played the leading lady in Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don’ remake opposite Shah Rukh Khan, followed by Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’ opposite Hrithik Roshan.
Farhan felt that too many of remakes might typecast the actress so he tweeted saying, “Priyanka Chopra, do you realise that this is the third official remake of Amitabh Bachchan you are in? Be careful you don't get typecast.”
Farhan has yet again opted for Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Zanjeer’ remake after ‘Don’. ‘Zanjeer’ remake is being produced by Amit Mehra, son of the original ‘Zanjeer’ director Prakash Mehra.
Where on the other hand Piggy Chops has started shooting for ‘Zanjeer’ remake, she tweeted on the social networking site, her present location as Hyderabad, “In Hydrabad for 'Zanjeer'. Starting a new film always makes me nervous”.
The star cast of the film also includes Om Puri, Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff, Ashutosh Rana and Atul Kulkarni in central roles.
