ROPAR: Indian Medical Association (IMA) Ropar organised a Clinical Update 2012 programme here today. More than 150 Doctors attended the programme. Interactive lectures were presented on heart failure, congenital heart diseases, IVF, Liver transplant and sudden cardiac arrest and its management during the meet.
Ropar MLA Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema inaugurated the meet. Expressing concern over drug addiction in Punjab, Dr.Cheema advised IMA and other NGOs to do some research project in this regard to ascertain the exact cause of drug addiction and number of drug addicts in Punjab so that effective steps could be taken to curb the menace.
IMA Ropar president Dr Ajay Jindal stressed the importance of clinical meets in helping physicians to update knowledge about various diseases and their management.
Delivering his key note address the State epidemiologist Dr. Gagandeep explained aboutdengue and its management. IMA Ropar secretary Dr.H.N. Sharma presented vote of thanks.
