Jalandhar: 1 injured in gang war

JALANDHAR: One person suspected to be a supporter of a gang leader was injured this afternoon after two rival groups led by Kali and Manj Nanha clashed outside the district and session courts.

According to sources, both the on the rivalry front, targeting each other after a bloody clash in Gopal Nagar over the wholesale business of floriculture in which one person was killed and several others including as ASI was injured in the firing.

It is said that the members of both the groups were scheduled to appear in a court case today. Supporters of a gang leader abused the rival group leader which provoked the supporters of the rival group led by Kali. It is alleged that supporters of Manoj Nanha group attacked the supporters of Kali when he was sipping tea outside the session court.

The assailants fled as soon the police rushed to the spot. The police rounded up two persons in this connection.
