LUDHIANA: An 18-year-old daughter of BJP councilor, also Punjab Health Minister Madan Mohan Mittal’s granddaughter committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan, early morning today.
Bhranti Bansal was a college student; she killed herself by hanging herself to the ceiling fan at her Bagh Nahuria Mal Jain area where they reside in Bharat Nagar, Ludhiana.
Councilor Renu Bansal and her daughter were at home; Bhranti attended the morning prayers with her mother and later went up to her room where she hanged herself. She didn’t lock her door before taking the extreme step.
Yogesh Bansal was apparently out for his morning walk when the whole incident took place.
Soon after the police was informed the police from Division No.5 reached the spot and carry forward the investigation, though the reason behind the suicide is still unknown.
Renu Bhansal is a councilor from ward no. 51 Municipal Corporation Ludhiana.
