Parents of deceased student demand action against principal for abetment to suicide

 JALANDHAR: Parents of Divya Deep Singh, a student of local Guru Nanak Public School today demanded strict legal action against the Principal of the school. They alleged that Divya Deep committed suicide on December 4 after he was reprimanded for copying in the terminals test.

Accompanied by their relatives and supporters, they staged a dharna also before the school. Avtar Singh, father of the deceased alleged that to hush up the case, the Principal used his political influence to procure his (Avtar Singh) signatures on a blank paper to save his skin
