Punjab Handball tournament begins in Nawanshahr

NAWANSHAHR: The 58th Punjab State Handball ( under 17 Boys & Girls) Tournament was inaugurated by the deputy district education officer, Kulwant Singh here at JSFH Khalsa Senior Secondary School  on Wednesday. The boys and girls teams from different districts are participating in the tournament.

 Iqbal Singh, president, District Handball Association, principals, DPEs, PTIs, Coaches, among others, were present on the occasion. The results of the matches on the inaugural day are as under -BOYS :  Ferozepur beat Hoshiarpur ( 17-7), Ajitgarh beat Jalandhar(18-17), SBS Nagar beat Pathankot, Ludhiana beat Gurdaspur( 18-10), Bathinda beat Tarn Taran ( 20 - 11) , Faridkot beat Ropar ( 25-16).

GIRLS : Ropar beat Moga ( 15 - 7), Muktsar beat Kapurthala( 12-5), Jalandhar beat Hoshiarpur( 15-3), Sangrur beat Amritsar( 17-3), Ludhiana beat Fatehgarh Sahib (11-8)
