CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government announced a seven-day state mourning in the honor of former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral who passed away at New Delhi today after prolonged illness.
Disclosing this here today spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that all the schools, colleges and educational institutions would remain closed tomorrow as a mark of respect to the departed leader and the national flag would fly at half mast in all the Government buildings.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has already left for New Delhi to offer his condolences to the bereaved family.
