Punjabi writer reads paper in Literary Conference at California

NAWANSHAHR:  Ajmer Sidhu, a prominent Punjabi writer hailing from the town, has read his paper on " American Punjabi Kahani : Vichardharak Prasar" during the two day " 11th Annual Literary Conference" organized by the International Punjabi Literature Academy at Fremont ( California ) in USA recently. 

The eminent Punjabi writers belonging to different countries including India, Canada, America, England, participated in the International Conference. Besides Sidhu, eminent literary personalities - Surjit Patar, Sidhu Damdami, Gurbhajan Gill, Sukhwinder Amrit, Jinder, Dr. Gurminder Kaur Sidhu, participated in the conference aimed at preserving and promoting Punjabi literature, culture and language in the world. 

Sidhu, while ruling out the apprehensions about the halting of Punjabi literary activities in foreign countries, said that the third generation of Punjabis in foreign countries had also been associating with the Punjabi literature and culture.

" The third generation of Punjabis abroad is quite hard working and enthusiastic about associating with their roots", said Sidhu while hailing the efforts being done by the Academy.
