Ropar: Swindler remanded to police custody

NANGAL (ROPAR): An Anandpur Sahib court today remanded three persons, arrested by the police for being allegedly involved in duping the people in the name of providing government jobs  to them, to two days’ Police custody.

It may be mentioned that Nangal Police have arrested  Anmol Singh resident of Indira Nagar Nangal, Joginder Kaur Bhatti of Nangal and Navjot Kaur of SAS Nagar for duping the people.

One  of the arrested accused Anmol Singh posed himself to be PA of the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal while other accused posed herself to be a newly recruited IPS officer for collecting money from the people by offering to provide government jobs to them.

According to police Joginder Kaur Bhatti  used to collect money from the people by promising to get them recruited in different government departments and introduced them to Anmol Singh. Navjot Kaur, who holds a B.Tech degree used to prepare fake appointment letters. They all had collected Rs.29.38 lakhs from the people. The accused Anmol has also purchased an Innova car with the money and used to travel in the vehicle  by installing Red Beacon on it.

 Police arrested these three accused after registering a case under section 420,467,468,417,472,120-B at Nangal Police station yesterday. They were produced in the court of Anandpur Sahib Judicial Magistrate First Class Baljinder Singh, who remanded them to police custody till December 7.
