Science fair: Govt school students bring laurels

NAWANSHAHR: The science stream students of the local Govt. Senior Secondary school-Devinder Singh and Amandeep under the guidance of Guneet Kaur, Lecturer in Physics has brought laurels to the district by bagging second position at the state level science fair held at Baba Farid Institute Deon (Bathinda) recently.  

Besides, the project has been selected for participation in Northern India Science Fair 2012-13 scheduled to be organised by National Science Centre, New Delhi from December 10 to 12.

Giving information, Principal Dinesh Kumar said that the students had prepared project on the Industry ( Sub Theme) under the Main Theme-Science & Society of the Science fair. The project highlights the advantages of Hydraulic System in Industry based on Pascal's law which states that pressure is equally transmitted in all directions in confined liquid neglecting the effect of gravity.

District Education Officer, Amrik Singh while congratulating the students and the staff for the achievement exhorted them to make improvements in the project for better presentation at the national level.
