FARIDKOT: The CJM court in Faridkot has agreed to an application filed by the Sachdeva family and has ordered to present Shruti Sachdeva, who was kidnapped at gunpoint, in the court on November 21.

It is expected that on November 21 the remaining three applications filed by Ashwini Sachdeva and the police will be considered by the court as they are lying pending since long now.

The Scahdeva family had appealed to the court for letting Shruti appear in the court once again and know her mind about going back home as Shruti had stated that she does not want to go back home when she was presented in the court after Shruti and Nishan Singh, the main accused in the case, were caught in Goa together.

There were two more applications filed by Shruti’s father, one was to allow Shruti’s pregnancy to be terminated and the other was to hand her over to her family and both these applications were discussed in the court. The court after listening to both the sides on these applications gave orders to present Shruti in the court. Shruti is at a Nari Niketan in Jalandhar at present.

On November 21, Shruti’s statement will be recorded and she will be asked whether she wants to get back home or not. During the court proceedings, an advocate said that Shruti was sent to Nari Niketan because she had expressed her will of not staying with her family and if this time she expresses her will of going back to her family then the government will have no problems in sending her back home. The police had filed an application regarding Shruti’s health and the court has postponed considering the application until November 21.
