AMRITSAR: After the rapprochement between the Sikh radicals and Radha Swami Dera chief Baba Gurinder Singh recently over the demolition of a Gurdwara, the Sikh leaders today gathered at the Golden Temple to offer prayers. They said the Dera would soon lay the foundation stone to re-construct the shrine that they had demolished at village Warrich.
Bhai Mohkam Singh from Khalsa Action Committee said that Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal, Dhian Singh Mand, and Paramjit Singh and many others prayed for the peace after the agreement. He said the Gurdwara demolished was within the complex of the Dera but there was resentment over the act and finally Baba Dhillon agreed to rebuild the structure.
He said talks there were held directly with sect Chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon at Sirsa in Haryana, Delhi and even at Chandigarh. Sect chief had also met Shiromani Akali Dal Chief Simranjit Singh Mann at his native village Harnam Singh Wala. Daduwal said sect chief said he had high regards for the Sikhism and the mistake would be corrected.
Earlier sect chief had expressed faith in holy Guru Granth Sahib and came to pay obeisance at Harmandhar Sahib in a sudden surprise recently as he is not regular to the shrine. He was even given a Siropa by the Granthis. The matter had also reached Jathedar Akal Takht Giani Gurbachan Singh who had given clean chit to Dera Radha Soami saying he had committed no blasphemy but radical Sikhs were angry and called it blasphemous act.
