CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government has declared gazetted holiday on the occasion of Kabir Jayanti on June 28, 2018. An official Spokesperson said that Punjab Government has issued a notification in this regard and all the offices of Punjab government, Boards/Corporations and other Government/Educational institutes would remain closed on Kabir Jayanti.
The holiday was earlier included in the state's list of restricted holidays. Notably, during a thanksgiving rally at Shahkot yesterday the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced state holiday on Kabir Jayanti.
