CHANDIGARH: A woman returning from delhi passed through hell when a driver attached to cab aggregator Uber started touching her legs and hands inappropriately from Hallomajra onward on tuesday night, prompting the police to arrest him on wednesday.
There are 5 other passengers in vehicle. The woman was sitting next to the driver as the back seats were taken. He started molesting her by touching her legs and hands. She ignored his activities, but when he did'nt stop, she raised the alarm. The accused then stop the car near the Sector 29-31 industrial area roundabout and locked the doors of the cab
The women called up police. In a few minutes, a PCR(Police control room) vehicle reached the spot. As the accused saw the police, he fled, leaving his cab behind. Police aressted the accused and send him in judicial custody for 14 days.
