AAP to start door-to-door campaign in all 13000 panchayats in Punjab

CHANDIGARrH: A day after the AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that AAP has won 7000 seats of Sarpanches and Panchs in the Punjab, the state unit has decided to start door-to-door campaign at booth level in all 13000 panchayats in Punjab.

Principal Budh Ram Chairman of the state core committee said today that the party will initially focus on those 7000 villages where AAP has registered win in Panchayat elections.

Kejriwal had yesterday invited the all Punjab leaders, MPs and MLA's over lunch in Delhi and discussed the future course of action. Kejriwal maintained that people of Punjab were ready to accept the third alternative as they are fed up with SAD-BJP alliance and Congress party. The Punjab unit has also conveyed to Kejriwal its decision of not to make any alliance with Congress ins tate during Lok Sabha elections in 2019.

Principal Budhram said that the party will organize training camps for sarpanchs and panchs at village level. He said that during the session the volunteers will be taught the ways to reach out to the people at grassroot level. He said that the volunteers will tell the people how and why Akali Dal Badal has lost the ground in state and also about the fake promises made by Narendra Modi and Capt. Amarinder Singh before the elections.

Principal Budhram said that the newly elected Sarpanches and Panches will educate the people of state about the work done in the field of health and education by Arvind Kejriwal led AAP govt. in Delhi. He said that AAP will start campaign for Lok Sabha elections with the help of elected Sarpanches and Panches.
