Two persons killed, eight injured in Phagwara mishap

PHILLAUR: Two Persons were killed on the spot while Eight others sustained injuries when a four wheeler Tata-609 no PB-08AH-0651 loaded with vegetables suddenly overturned near Village Bahadurpur on  Phillaur---Noormahal Road on Friday. Deputy Superintendent of the Police Phillaur Amrik Singh Chahal said the police have registered case under section 304A/279 IPC against the four wheeler driver Rashpal Singh who managed to escape leaving the injured and deceased along with mangles of the truck behind.

The accident occurred when the driver lost his control from the vehicle in which he was bringing vegetables from Ludhiana and going to Noormahal,said DSP.

The Deceased were identified as Paramjit Singh resident of Village Chuheki near Noormahal and Bihari Migrant Bartu@ Chhotu.

The Injured Ghoka,Manga,Gorkha,Vikas,Gagan,Raj Kumar,Bunty,and Alam were admitted in different hospitals. The Four Wheeler smashed in the accident. The dead bodies of both deceased were handed over to their family members after autopsy told DSP Chahal.
