##ad_1##FATEHGARH SAHIB: Total 17,743 votes were polled to SAD-Sant Samaj candidate Ravinder Singh Khalsa, who had contested SGPC election from Amloh constituency of district Fatehgarh Sahib.
He defeated Shiromani Akali Dal(Amritsar) candidate Shingra Singh Badla, who got 10,264 votes. Former SGPC member Khalsa won the election this time with margin of 7,479 while 349 votes were rejected . Though there were total 45,192 eligible voters but 28,077 persons exercised their right of voting in Amloh constituency.
Amloh was alone seat in the district where the contest was between two candidates. On other seats of the district Shiromani Akali Dal(Panch Pardhani) had fielded its candidates.
##ad_2##Amloh SDM Tejinder Singh Dhaliwal today official announced that Khalsa had won the election and handed him certificate of his victory. Youth Development Board chairman Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna, Market Committee, Amloh chairman Randhir Singh Bhambri was also present on the occasion.
