Biz Management students need to develop an attitude for successful career: IAME faculty

BANGALORE: As B-school nowadays are striving hard enough to give the best education to wannabe youth, who want to achieve something in their life, to fulfill their dreams. These institutions act as stepping stone for them. There are a lot of establishments in the country which offer different courses to its students depending on the requirements of its students.

This institute consist of students all over the country. This is of advantage since it will be of help even these students will be stepping out of the institute they will know how to mingle and get along with the other. 

The institute is outfitted with strong headed and very gritty leaders like Dr. Ramesh Babu, the chairman of the institute who say that he believes in creating next generation entrepreneurs with a worldwide vision with entrenched in the home-grown culture and responsiveness.

Bilu Nair, the Executive Director of IAME, considers that  grooming the youth  into a successful professional manager as very much possible. All they require is guidance and assistance who can mould them to be something in their life. Because in today’s era the young generation have the get going attitude instead of resting back and waiting for things to happen.

“To practice what you learn in theory is more difficult in practice than in theory” that’s what the Dean, BK Murty has to say. He goes on saying that they mostly  emphasize on the importance of skills in Management rather that just knowledge. Skills development in IAME is through Management Skills Programme (MSP) as an integral part of the curriculum.

Now lets see what the students have to say about it. “ IAME has been the best part of my life, as in there is lots to learn from as well as lots of opportunity is being provided to you” says Amit Kumar from Bihar.

What an experience, as I have stepped into the second year of the course I am looking forward to put in all what I studied in the class. Thanks to IAME for providing such a platform to sharpen my skills, says Gurmit Singh Chawla. 

Pramod K, a pass out from IAME says that he had a wonderful experience at the campus, lots of learning involved, opportunity to explore and lay a platform for oneself to start off in life.

Keeping in mind the requirements of the corporate today, we should not forget about ethics. It is one of the most important part that we should know and at IAME we are taught through subjects like Principle of Management, Consumer Behavior and now I have got a chance to put into practice, says Shrikant Kumar from Nagpur.

IAME has a flagship program which is a full time post graduate program in management. This program slips in 1st year of class room theory and 2nd year mainly out-and-out to practical off campus learning through Industry Internship Program. Since the current year is the 1st batch graduating from IAME comparison is not probable. However, IAME is the only institute, of its class, which has achieved over 80% placement in the first year itself.

Ethics that are really important in the corporate world today, it seems to be that the students are a product of the ethical environment they come from and then get into, after joining an organization. Ethics demonstrated and practiced by IAME management in all their operations so that students can observe what it means to be ethical in the organization. This is possible for IAME because it is promoted and run by professional and not by Politicians, religious heads or not by politician for whom profit making is the main criteria.
