Police in Manali carried out a raid at a private hotel in the Rangri area on Thursday and arrested three youths on drug-related charges. During the operation, officials recovered 8.570 grams of heroin, locally known as ‘chitta’, along with ₹18,000 in cash from their possession.
According to police sources, the action was initiated following a tip-off that three individuals from Firozpur were staying in a hotel room and were in possession of narcotics. Acting on the information, a police team searched Room No. 205 and seized the contraband.
A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 21 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Manali police station. Authorities have begun further legal proceedings.
Police officials said that intensive interrogation of the accused is underway to trace the origin of the seized drugs, identify the supply chain, and uncover any larger network involved. The investigation in the case is ongoing.
