Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has replaced its Jalandhar Cantt constituency in-charge, appointing Deepak Bali to the position in place of Rajwinder Kaur Thiara.
Speculation had been rife for the past several days about a possible change in the party's leadership in the Jalandhar Cantt constituency. With this appointment, Deepak Bali could potentially take on Punjab Congress president Pargat Singh in the constituency.
The development comes shortly after AAP made a sudden change in its Jalandhar North constituency leadership. Dinesh Dhall was replaced by Jalandhar Mayor Vineet Dhir, who was entrusted with the responsibility of the constituency.
The latest reshuffle is being viewed as a significant organisational move by AAP as political activity gathers momentum in Jalandhar.
