The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab continued to strengthen its organisational presence across the state as Dr Gulzar Mohammad from Malerkotla and three independent municipal councillors joined the party on Saturday.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann welcomed Dr Gulzar Mohammad and the three councillors into the AAP fold. He said their experience, public connect and understanding of local issues would further strengthen the party’s organisation in Malerkotla.

The development comes as the AAP continues to expand its political base by bringing elected representatives and prominent local leaders into the party.

Several other leaders and office-bearers were also present on the occasion, including former Nagar Council president Iqbal Fauji, Mohammad Bashir, Mohammad Habib, Suraiya Begum, Mohammad Mumtaz (Taj), Zahida Parveen and Mohammad Aslam (Kala).

Punjab Waqf Board Chairman Mohammad Owais, Azam Rana, District Chairman of Trade Wing Commission Punjab, and Punjab Waqf Board member Shahbaz Rana also attended the event.

The induction of the new members is expected to give the AAP an organisational boost in Malerkotla and strengthen its grassroots network in the region.
