Air India on Tuesday confirmed that its Phuket-to-Delhi flight AI2379 encountered turbulence during the cruise phase of the journey, causing a brief fluctuation in altitude.

The aircraft landed safely in Delhi, and all passengers and crew members disembarked without any major incident. The airline said that no serious injuries were reported.

According to an Air India spokesperson, a few passengers and crew members sustained minor injuries. As a precaution, they were taken to the airport medical facility for examination and care. The airline’s airport team and medical staff are providing all necessary assistance.

“The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain Air India’s highest priority. We are extending every possible support to those affected and are fully cooperating with the relevant authorities in the investigation,” the spokesperson said.

The incident occurred while the flight was travelling from Phuket to the national capital. An investigation is currently underway, and further details are awaited.
