Punjab Good Governance and Information Technology Minister Aman Arora on Tuesday launched Digi.Punjab.gov.in, a unified digital portal offering more than 300 government services across 12 departments on a single, mobile-friendly platform.
Launched at MGSIPA, the portal will allow citizens to access services including birth and death certificates, marriage registration, arms licences, police verification, revenue and caste certificates, pensions, property transfers and water connections.
Arora said the portal will cover all 800-plus government services within two months, with fixed timelines for processing applications. Any delay by officials will be reflected in their records, he said.
Minister said Digi Punjab will provide end-to-end digital services, real-time tracking and accountability, reducing the need for citizens to visit government offices repeatedly.
He said the initiative marks a shift from citizens chasing files to governance reaching citizens. Services will also continue to be supported through Sewa Kendras and the 1076 doorstep delivery service.
Arora said Punjab has already delivered more than 2 crore QR-coded certificates through SMS and WhatsApp, while over 45,000 patwaris, sarpanches and councillors have processed more than one crore applications through mobile phones.
Calling good governance his mission, Arora said the portal aims to make government services more transparent, accessible and accountable.
