The date of elections in Jalandhar West constituency in Punjab has been announced. According to information received from Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C, voting for Jalandhar West (SC) by-election will be held on July 10 and its full schedule has been released by the Election Commission of India. According to him, nominations can be filed till June 21 (Friday) and scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on June 24. After this, voting will be held on Wednesday, July 10 and the result will be declared on July 13.
It is worth noting that Sheetal Angural, who was an MLA of Aam Aadmi Party, had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Before the Lok Sabha elections, Sushil Kumar Rinku, who was an AAP MP, also joined the BJP. Sheetal Angural had resigned from his MLA post.
