A bomb threat sent via email to the District Magistrate's (DM) office in Gautam Buddh Nagar on Monday triggered a major security alert, prompting an immediate response from the police and emergency services.

Soon after receiving the threat, the Surajpur Police rushed to the DM office and secured the entire premises. As a precautionary measure, the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), Dog Squad, Anti-Sabotage (AS) Check Team, and Fire Brigade were deployed to the site.

Security personnel carried out an extensive search operation across the DM office building and its surrounding campus. Every room, office space, and nearby area was thoroughly inspected for any suspicious objects or explosive materials.

After several hours of intensive checks, authorities confirmed that no explosives or suspicious items were found. The threat was declared a hoax, and normal operations resumed. Police have launched an investigation to trace the source of the threatening email and identify those responsible.
