A shocking incident has been reported from Kurukshetra, where a young man suffering from bone cancer has accused police personnel of assault and sexual misconduct inside a police station.

The victim, who is undergoing chemotherapy and has lost hair due to treatment, alleged that on the night of June 17, he was stopped at the Indri naka and taken to the Ladwa Police Station while returning home from duty.

According to the complaint, he was first beaten by police personnel and later subjected to abusive remarks over his physical condition. He alleged that officers mocked him, saying his legs “look like a girl’s,” before two Assistant Sub-Inspectors and a Home Guard allegedly committed misconduct against him.

The man further stated that he began bleeding and his condition worsened the next day, after which his family learned about the incident and rushed him to hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment at LNJP Hospital Kurukshetra.

Following his complaint to the Superintendent of Police, immediate action was taken. SP Kurukshetra Chandermohan ordered the suspension of ASI Sanjeev Kumar, ASI Rajendra Kumar, and Home Guard Sumeet.

Ladwa DSP Nirmal Singh confirmed that an FIR is being registered against the accused personnel. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been constituted to probe the allegations.
