Hundreds of employees staged a protest for the second consecutive day at an export company owned by businessman Anand Ahuja, the husband of Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, in Faridabad, Haryana, demanding the restoration of their bonus.

The protest took place outside the company's Sector-28 facility, where around 200 male and female workers gathered in a nearby park after stopping work. Several women employees also sat near the company's main gate in protest.

According to the workers, the company had earlier been providing a 20% bonus along with salaries, but it has now been reduced to 8%. They alleged that the management has been making repeated cuts to employee benefits for its own financial gain.

As tensions escalated, the company administration informed the police. Officers reached the spot and attempted to persuade the workers to return to work, but the employees refused, insisting they would not resume duties until their bonus demand was addressed.

The Sector-28-based Shahi Exports unit manufactures and exports women's garments and employs nearly 6,000 workers, including a large number of women.

Faridabad Police spokesperson Yashpal said the employees had stopped work over their demands and confirmed that police reached the site after receiving information about the protest. He added that the situation remains under control.
