A tragic road accident in the Balh Valley area of Mandi district claimed the lives of three young men late Monday night, while two others sustained serious injuries.
According to reports, a car (HP82-8322) was traveling from Nerchowk to Sundernagar when it rammed into a hydra machine parked along the roadside. Five people were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
The collision was so severe that three occupants died during initial treatment. The deceased have been identified as Anil Kumar (28) from Palahi, Rohit Kumar (26) from Andretta, and Subhash Kumar (35), also from Palahi.
Two others, Harish alias Sunny (23) from Vadmah and Pankaj Kumar from Palahi, were critically injured. After receiving primary treatment, they were referred to AIIMS Bilaspur, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
