The Central Board of Secondary Education has officially declared the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026, bringing relief to lakhs of students waiting for their scores. Students can now check and download their scorecards through the official websites and digital platforms including CBSE Official Website, DigiLocker, and UMANG App.

According to the gender-wise performance data, girls once again outperformed boys across all streams and subjects. The pass percentage of girls stood at 88.86%, while boys recorded an overall pass percentage of 82.13%.

CBSE stated that students must secure at least 33% marks in every subject to pass the examination. Under the grading system, grades from A to D are considered passing grades, while grade E indicates failure. Students receiving an E grade in any subject may have to appear for compartment or re-examinations.

Among institutions, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan delivered the best performance with a remarkable pass percentage of 98.55%. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya followed closely with 98.47%. Government schools recorded an 89.55% pass rate, while government-aided institutions achieved 86.07%. EMRS schools posted 85.55%, and independent private schools registered an 84.22% success rate.

Out of the country’s 22 CBSE regions, the Ludhiana Region secured the 9th position with an overall pass percentage of 87.92%.

Students can access their results on the CBSE portal by following the required login steps. In case of internet issues or server downtime, CBSE has also provided the option to receive subject-wise marks through SMS services.

However, CBSE clarified that the online scorecard will be provisional in nature. Students must collect their original mark sheets from their respective schools. This year, answer sheets were evaluated through the board’s on-screen marking system to ensure transparency and accuracy.
