Charred body of 25-year-old man found near radio station in Rohtak, murder suspected

The charred body of a man, believed to be around 25 years old, was found in bushes along an unpaved road behind a radio station in Madina village of Rohtak on Monday morning. Police suspect that the man was murdered and that chemicals were used to set his body on fire in an attempt to prevent identification.

Bahukabar Pur police received information around 8 am that a body had been set on fire. A police team reached the spot and informed the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team. FSL expert Saroj Dahiya collected evidence from the scene.

During the preliminary investigation, police found blood near the victim’s nose, raising suspicion that he may have been beaten to death. The exact cause of death is expected to become clear after the post-mortem examination.

The unidentified body has been kept at the PGIMS mortuary for identification.

Bahukabar Pur Station House Officer Jasbir said police teams are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area to trace the circumstances leading to the incident and identify those responsible.
