Punjab CM also announces construction of a sports stadium in Toot village in Ferozepur district in memory of the promising player.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met the family of promising kabaddi player Gurjit Singh Toot and expressed his condolences over his untimely demise.
Sharing the grief of the bereaved family, Mann said the loss of Gurjit Singh Toot has created a void that is extremely difficult to express in words. He recalled the player’s sporting talent and contribution to Punjab, saying his name and legacy would always remain alive in people’s hearts.
Chief Minister also announced that Gurjit Singh Toot’s wife would be provided a government job. He assured the family that the Punjab Government stands firmly with them and would extend all possible support.
Mann further announced that a modern sports stadium would be constructed in Toot village of Ferozepur district in memory of the kabaddi player. The stadium is expected to provide better sports facilities to youngsters from the village and surrounding areas and help emerging athletes pursue their sporting ambitions.
