President Droupadi Murmu was welcomed by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann upon her arrival in Chandigarh on Tuesday. Mann presented a bouquet to the President during the meeting.
Punjab Chief Minister and President Murmu also held discussions on various issues concerning Punjab and the country. The meeting was described as a meaningful exchange of views.
The Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab unit shared photographs of the meeting on social media platform X.
President Murmu is on a three-day visit to Himachal Pradesh and is scheduled to travel to Bilaspur, where she will attend the first convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as the chief guest.
During the convocation, the President will confer degrees on 91 medical and paramedical students.
