Central University of Punjab (CU Punjab), Bathinda—one of India’s leading central universities—has invited applications for admission to 50 Post Graduate Degree Programmes for the Academic Session 2026–27 through the Common University Entrance Test (PG)–2026.

The University is accredited with an A+ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), ranked 77th in the NIRF India Rankings 2025 (University Category), and placed in the 601–800 Global Rank Band of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026—reflecting its strong academic credentials at both national and international levels.

Aspiring candidates may submit their online applications for CUET (PG)–2026 up to January 14, 2026 through the official portal of the National Testing Agency (NTA): https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/. As per NTA, the CUET (PG)–2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted in March 2026.

Appealing to students from across the country—particularly the youth of Punjab—Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Punjab, encouraged eligible candidates to seize this opportunity. He emphasized that CU Punjab offers quality higher education at affordable cost, supported by a vibrant academic environment and a robust research ecosystem, enabling students to build strong academic foundations and prepare for diverse career pathways in academia, industry, and public service.

Till the last academic year, the University offered 44 Post Graduate Degree Programmes across a wide range of disciplines encompassing Computer Science and Technology, Cyber Security, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Computational Physics, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Geology, Environmental Science and Technology, Food Science and Technology, Medicinal Chemistry, Molecular Medicine, Human Genetics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Agribusiness, Law, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, History, Geography, Political Science, Politics and International Relations, Education, Journalism and Mass Communication, Commerce, English, Hindi, Punjabi, Physical Education, Library and Information Sciences, Performing Arts (Theatre), and Music (Vocal).

In addition, the University has announced the introduction of six new PG programmes, to be launched from the Academic Session 2026–27. These include M.Sc. Community Medicine & Health, M.Sc. Biotechnology, MBA (Hospitality & Tourism Management), MA Public Policy and Governance, MA Civilization Studies, and MA Religious Studies, further strengthening the University’s academic portfolio.
