Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out search operations at multiple locations in Patiala and Mohali as part of an ongoing investigation, officials said on Wednesday.
According to sources, an ED team conducted a late-night raid on Showroom Nos. 8, 9 and 10 in the Phase-2 Commercial Market area of Patiala. The premises are reportedly linked to companies named Flying Feathers and DM Web Based Solutions, whose records are being examined by investigators. The search operation continued into Wednesday morning.
The action was launched based on information already available with the agency and findings from its ongoing probe. Officials are scrutinising documents, computer data and other records found at the premises. Reports also suggested that the building was sealed during the operation. However, ED officials have not yet shared details of the investigation with the media.
Meanwhile, the agency also conducted searches at Plot No. 2010 in IT City, Sector 82A, Mohali. Records and documents at the site are being examined as part of the same investigation.
The exact nature of the documents under scrutiny and the purpose of the searches are expected to become clear once the Enforcement Directorate issues an official statement on the matter.
