The FIR registered against senior Akali Dal leader and former Punjab minister Bikram Singh Majithia has finally been made public four days after the incident.

The action was taken by Amritsar Rural Police following intervention by the court. On Thursday, a copy of the FIR was handed over to Majithia’s legal team at the district court complex, bringing the details of the allegations into the public domain.

According to the FIR, besides Majithia, his close associates and lawyers Bikram Singh Bath, Sahib Hamza, Raja Ladeh, and Jodh Singh Samra have also been named as accused. Police are additionally working to identify more than 50 other individuals who were allegedly present during the incident.

The case relates to an incident that took place on Sunday when Majithia, accompanied by his supporters and associates, reportedly arrived at the Majitha police station. Police allege that the group had come to secure the release of Jobanpreet Singh, a supporter who was in police custody and being questioned at the time.

Authorities have stated that further investigation is underway to identify all those involved and determine their roles in the incident.
