Gold and silver prices recorded a decline on Tuesday, May 5, according to data released by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association.
The price of 24-carat gold fell by ₹543, bringing the rate down to ₹1.47 lakh per 10 grams. On the previous day, gold was priced at ₹1.48 lakh per 10 grams.
Similarly, silver prices also witnessed a drop. The price of one kilogram of silver declined by ₹618 to ₹2.39 lakh. On Monday, silver was trading at ₹2.40 lakh per kg.
Market experts attribute the fall to fluctuations in global trends and profit booking by investors.
