No fee from registered Local guides

As per the direction of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the Dharamsala Forest Circle has given 50 percent discount in entry fee and tenting fee for Triund and other trekking routes, a step that would go a long way in promoting tourism activities in the area besides providing succor to the registered guides.
A Spokesperson of Forest Department said here today that the Forest Department had reduced the entry fee from Rs. 200 to Rs. 100 per head per day. The tenting fee had also been reduced from Rs. 1100 to Rs. 550 for pitching two persons inclusive of entry fee.
The spokesperson added that no fee would be charged from registered local guides of the recognized Miscellaneous Adventure Activities Operators who were registered with Tourism Department under H.P. Misc. Adventure Activities Rules, 2021.
