Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who is on a visit to Singapore, held meetings with representatives of more than 12 companies on the third day of his tour to discuss investment opportunities in the state.

The Haryana government is now planning to develop Panchkula, Karnal, Hisar, Sonipat and Rohtak as new technology-driven business hubs and potential destinations for global companies, along the lines of Gurugram.

The initiative is expected to boost investment in these cities and create new employment opportunities for young people.

During a roundtable meeting organised under the Singapore Business Forum, Saini invited companies to explore investment opportunities in Haryana. He said Gurugram has already established itself as one of India's leading business and technology hubs, and the state government now wants to create a similar ecosystem in other cities.

Chief Minister said companies setting up operations in Panchkula, Karnal, Hisar, Sonipat and Rohtak would benefit from a skilled workforce, lower operating costs, improved connectivity and quality-of-life facilities.

He said these cities would be developed as new growth centres for technology-driven businesses, with the government focusing on creating an investor-friendly ecosystem.

The discussions covered investment opportunities in several key sectors, including semiconductors, electronics, green energy, data centres, manufacturing, warehousing and digital infrastructure.

Saini highlighted Haryana's proximity to the Delhi-NCR region, strong industrial base and robust road connectivity as key advantages for investors.

The state government is seeking to attract global companies and diversify Haryana's economic growth beyond Gurugram by developing multiple investment and employment centres across the state.
