Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has been appointed as the central co-observer for Assam by the Bharatiya Janata Party. The party shared the update through its official X (formerly Twitter) account, confirming his new responsibility in the northeastern state.

Reacting to the recent West Bengal Legislative Assembly Election results, Saini said that the entire country is influenced by the policies and initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He alleged that West Bengal had faced prolonged exploitation, first under communist regimes and later under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee.

Saini claimed that earlier policies led to job losses, migration, and forced many youths to seek employment abroad. He further accused the current leadership of atrocities and unrest, stating that political interests led to violence and suffering.

According to him, the state is now moving beyond those challenges.

Meanwhile, the BJP Parliamentary Board has appointed Jagat Prakash Nadda, Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers, as the central observer for the election of the BJP Legislature Party leader in Assam.
