Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday inaugurated a state-of-the-art 3-Tesla MRI machine at the Atal Super Speciality Institute of Medical Sciences in Chamiyana, Shimla.
Health Minister Col. Dhani Ram Shandil, Shimla Urban MLA Harish Janartha, Shimla Mayor Surender Chauhan, senior Health Department officials, and other dignitaries were present at the inauguration ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sukhu said the advanced MRI facility will significantly enhance the hospital's ability to accurately diagnose diseases and provide more effective treatment. He added that integrating modern medical technology with public healthcare strengthens patient services and builds greater confidence in the state's healthcare system.
The newly installed 3-Tesla MRI machine is expected to provide faster, high-resolution imaging, helping doctors detect complex medical conditions with greater precision while improving overall patient care in Himachal Pradesh.
