Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday launched the 'Takniki Rozgar Setu' portal, a first-of-its-kind digital platform aimed at connecting technically qualified youth with employment opportunities across industries.
Chief Minister said the state government is committed to strengthening skill development and employment generation. The portal is designed to bridge the gap between technical education institutions and industry requirements while providing students with better career opportunities through a transparent and efficient recruitment system.
Students will be able to create profiles, upload details of their skills, training, and certifications, browse available job openings, apply online, and track their placement status. Employers and companies can register on the portal, post vacancies, shortlist eligible candidates, and complete the hiring process digitally, making recruitment faster and more transparent.
Sukhu said 164 technical institutions have already been registered on the platform, including 136 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), 18 polytechnic colleges, five engineering colleges, and five pharmacy colleges.
Through the Him Access Integration Portal, 26,168 students have been registered so far, with 23,054 students completing skill mapping. Additionally, 97 employers have joined the platform.
The Chief Minister added that the portal will also enable skilled professionals such as electricians and plumbers to offer their services for short-term assignments. Technical institutions will be able to manage student records, approve profiles, and monitor placements through a single integrated platform.
