In His Greed for Power, Bittu Betrayed His Family's Political Legacy and Joined BJP
Punjab Newsline, Ludhiana-
Aam Aadmi Party leader and Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh strongly countered BJP leader Ravneet Bittu's statements, questioning why Bittu didn't have the courage to field someone from his family in this election.
Sondh revealed that the BJP leadership had offered Bittu the chance to contest the election himself or to field someone from his family, but he declined, knowing that his candidacy would result in a forfeiture of his deposit. As a result, BJP delayed announcing its candidate until the last moment, waiting for Bittu’s decision, but he backed out.
Accusing Bittu of betraying his family's political legacy for the lure of a Rajya Sabha seat, Sondh said, “Bittu sold his conscience and joined BJP. He is loyal to no party and moves wherever he sees personal benefit. He has never held any political stance.”
Sondh played old statements of Bittu in front of the media, where he accused BJP of being anti-Punjab and anti-farmer. “What forced Bittu, who used to curse BJP and RSS daily, to suddenly join the same party? Was it a case of BJP obtaining files on his corruption and scams?” Sondh questioned.
Highlighting AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora's honest image and popularity, Sondh said that both BJP and Congress are frightened by the prospect of a massive defeat. He added, “Sanjeev Arora, as a Rajya Sabha MP, has undertaken impactful work in Ludhiana, benefiting the public greatly. That’s why the people of Ludhiana are showering him with immense love and support in this election.”
