Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday reaffirmed India’s determination to eliminate terrorism and its support network while marking the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor. In a social media message, the Prime Minister praised the Indian Armed Forces for their courage, precision, and coordination during the operation carried out after the deadly Pahalgam terror attack in 2025.

Modi said Operation Sindoor became a symbol of India’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and reflected the nation’s unwavering commitment to protecting national security. He stated that the operation demonstrated the professionalism and preparedness of Indian forces and also highlighted the growing strength of India’s self-reliant defence capabilities.

The Prime Minister recalled that the operation was launched after 26 civilians were killed in the April 22, 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam. In response, India carried out precision airstrikes on nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on May 7, 2025.

According to reports, the strikes destroyed major terror infrastructure and killed over 100 terrorists. Modi added that even after one year, India remains fully committed to destroying terrorism and the entire system supporting it.
