Ludhiana Police have arrested two alleged associates of foreign-based gangsters Donny Bal and Arsh Bagga, who were reportedly planning to target and kill selected individuals in the city. Police are investigating the case and questioning the accused to determine who was on their target list.

During the operation, police recovered two .30 bore pistols, nine live .30 bore cartridges, and a Platina motorcycle from their possession. ADCP Dev Singh said the police had received specific intelligence that two operatives linked to Donny Bal and Arsh Bagga were planning to target businessmen and other individuals in the city.

Acting on human intelligence inputs, the police arrested the suspects near Ayali Chowk and the backside of the bus stand in Baddowal village. The accused have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh alias Raji Neela and Rajveer Singh alias Raji, both residents of Baddowal near Mullanpur Dakha. Police are also examining their mobile phones as part of the investigation.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the two accused were in contact with Donny Bal and Arsh Bagga through the Telegram messaging platform for the past several days. Police believe they were scheduled to carry out the planned crime on the night of June 17 but were arrested before they could execute it.

The accused were produced before a court, which granted the police a two-day remand for further interrogation.
