Punjab Newsline | Panchkula
A controversy erupted in Panchkula after a video surfaced on social media allegedly showing a man urinating near ice slabs that were reportedly being sold to customers. Following the viral clip, members of Hindu organizations reached the police station and submitted a complaint demanding strict action.
Police have registered a case against the accused and collected samples from the spot for investigation. Authorities said the matter is being examined from all angles.

According to local reports, the man has reportedly been selling ice in the area for several years. Some people have also alleged that he used a Hindu name despite belonging to the Muslim community, though police have not officially confirmed these claims.
The accused has denied the allegations, claiming that he was not urinating but was merely tightening the drawstring of his lower garment.
The viral video, around one-and-a-half minutes long, reportedly shows an elderly man sitting behind ice slabs near Yasmeen Textiles in the Raipur Rani area. He is seen standing briefly before allegedly urinating near the ice. Later in the clip, he appears to wash his hands using a water container and then sits back on the chair.
Members of Hindu Jagran Manch submitted a complaint to police, saying the incident had hurt public sentiments and triggered anger among local residents. Co-convener Surender Verma demanded strict legal action against the accused under relevant sections of the law.
The video has sparked widespread reactions online, with many social media users calling the act insensitive and unacceptable.
