Moga Police arrested 11 accused and claimed to have recovered a substantial quantity of heroin and intoxicating tablets from their possession.

DSP (D) Gurpreet Singh said the CIA Staff Moga, led by Inspector Daljit Singh, was conducting a patrol under the supervision of Assistant Sub-Inspector Harpreet Singh when police intercepted Lovepreet Singh, a resident of Kadhahawala village, near Dana Mandi in Kot Ise Khan. He was allegedly found with 300 grams of heroin.

Following his interrogation, police also arrested Gagandeep Singh, another resident of Kadhahawala village, in connection with the same case.

In a separate operation, Inspector Gurvinder Singh Bhullar, SHO City Moga, said a team led by Havildar Surinder Pal Singh arrested Jagmeet Singh of Dunneke village during patrol duty and recovered 12 grams of heroin from him.

At Balkhandi police post, in-charge Ramandeep Singh arrested Jaswinder Singh alias Gullo of Manawan and Joga Singh of Talwandi Nau Bahar. Police claimed to have seized 20 grams of heroin and 20 intoxicating tablets from their possession.

Inspector Jaswinder Singh, SHO Badhni Kalan, said Havildar Satnam Singh arrested Davinder Singh alias Tidda, Dilshanpreet Singh, and Pradeep Singh alias Amli, all residents of Badhni Kalan, during a patrol on Wednesday night. Police recovered 30 grams of heroin and 100 intoxicating tablets from them.

In another case, Assistant Sub-Inspector Gurvinder Singh of Nihal Singh Wala police station arrested Pradeep Singh alias Mangal of Manuke village and allegedly recovered 5 grams of heroin and 70 intoxicating tablets.

Meanwhile, Bagha Purana SHO Janak Raj said Havildar Harjeet Singh arrested Jagdeep Singh alias Ghacha and Mandeep Singh alias Maru, both residents of Gholia Kalan, and recovered 12 grams of heroin from their possession.

Police said all the accused have been booked under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act and further investigation is underway to identify possible links with larger drug trafficking networks operating in the region.
